Haoning Tang
Haoning received her Ph.D. (2021) in Applied Physics from Harvard University, USA., and B.Eng. (2012) in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong SAR. Her research interests include photonic metamaterials, nonlinear optics, and low-loss optical devices. Her thesis work (under the supervision of Prof. Eric Mazur) focused on the photonic crystals with Dirac-cone degeneracy. She is a recipient of the HQI Postdoctoral Fellowship from Harvard and the Hong Kong Jockey Club (Ph.D.) Scholarship for Harvard Graduate Student.
Haoning Tang is also the recipient of the HQI One-Year Fellowship extension to continue her work at Harvard. She is a Fellow in Prof. Eric Mazur’s group in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Her current work focuses on the light-matter interaction in photonic metamaterials, including zero-index metamaterials and moiré photonic metamaterials.
